Been a minute since I have been around here, but I wanted to drop in and mention a project I have been working on (as I figure some folks here might be interested). I posted it here as it applies to the TES world in general rather than a particular PC/Console game.

I have started working on developing a table top (pen and paper) RPG for the Elder Scrolls universe. At the moment, I am compiling a Core Rule book for the game, which is a combination of efforts on my own part as well as taking some ideas and inspiration from a Polish attempt at the same thing called Tamriel RPG.

As it stands, I have so far converted their 165 page book into English and am going through it, and have been compiling notes on doing this for the past couple of years without ever really announcing anything about it.

Cheers

Certainly, I am actually taking some assistance with the translations of the Polish document at the moment via Google Wave (if you happen to have that, great for this type of project). If you have Google Wave, just pop me your address and I can add you up to the development waves (or if you are interested and don't have a Wave account, I can send you an invite to it with an email address).

As I get chances I will certainly pop in here with some status updates on the project, and I'll kick my demo up here for people to look at and comment on (once I clean it up a little - the PDF really only contains a front and back cover, credits page, and table of contents to give an idea of what the final project might look like).

I stand corrected, the PDF Demo was actually already done (forgot I made that already). It is attached.

Thanks much, I popped your invite out - sometimes Google is slow with them, but recently they have been pretty spot on with getting them out.

So, one thing I will go ahead and mention that I will accept for this project is any artwork that folks would like to offer for it (as we all know, any good RPG book needs to have some imagery throughout it). This could be a combination of actual drawn art, or game screen shots that are given filters to look more like hand drawn pictures. This is most certainly needed as I am no graphical artist, so to speak, so any additional items people wish to contribute in this facet would be most welcome.

I may also open up the option for people to submit some short stories as well, since the beginning of the book I have intended to include a small piece of lore relevant fiction (another trait often found in RPG books). I am still some what open on this, as I may just decide to craft the story myself in the end.

Anything folks might want to submit for the project can be sent to my email address (any of them will be fine, honestly). Just include TES RPG in the subject line so I know it pertains to the project.

As a little something for this community, I decided I would give you guys an exclusive sneak peek at the new version of the cover I worked up tonight in one of my lulls on compiling everything else together. I think this one looks much nicer than the previous one, but tell me what you think.

Yea, it does still need a bit of touch-up before I kick out the final release. I kind of cheated for that one and grabbed some already available resources for making Splash screens for Morrowind :)

I think, though, overall the concept seems pretty good (addition of some kind of bordering, and the better color blending with the Akatosh picture in the center to the background). I'll be seeing what I can do to recreate something similar to this effect I think, though I will certainly not deny I am no designer, more a developer.

Anyhow, back to the translations and assorted rewrites (well, a lot of rewrites really).

Was wondering if a graphics whiz wanted to take a stab at making an adjustment to an image for me. Basically, it is a slick picture of a blue planet with a red moon orbiting it, and I just wanted to add in a smaller white moon to make it look like Nirn. Does anyone think they might be able to do this/pull it off?
